Nico Wakatsuki, a teenage witch who, after finishing her magical training, moves in with her childhood friend Morihito Otogi, who looks like a human but is actually an ogre. Because of their families' deep-rooted history, Morihito is destined to be Nico's familiar and protect her. Nico hopes that this arrangement will bring them closer together since he has always been her crush. As the story unfolds, Nico and Morihito navigate a world filled with various supernatural and legendary beings while also tackling the unexpected challenges that Nico's magic brings to their everyday lives.
