In the year Future Century 60, many people have left the devastated Earth to seek a new life in space colonies. However, the gap between those who made it to the colonies and those left behind on Earth continues to grow, and the situation on the planet keeps getting worse. Instead of fighting wars for power, the colonies have decided to hold a Gundam Fight tournament every four years. Each country sends a pilot to compete in a humanoid mobile fighter known as a Gundam. During the tournament, Gundams face off in one-on-one battles, following strict rules, until only one fighter remains. The winning nation gains the right to rule all of space for that period.
Domon Kasshu, the Gundam Fighter from Neo Japan, is heading to Earth as a competitor, accompanied by his partner, Rain Mikamura. However, Domon has a secret mission: to find his older brother Kyoji, a fugitive who allegedly stole the experimental Devil Gundam from Neo Japan's government and now poses a threat to the entire planet.
