In the beginning, humans, demons, and gods coexisted on Earth. The gods permitted the weaker humans to utilize their powers, establishing the Borrowed Power system to help them defend against the demons who sought to dominate them. Soon after the demons were vanquished, the gods separated the humans, demons, and themselves into three different Realms.
Mori Jin, a 17 year old martial artist, receives an invitation to participate in a Martial Arts tournament known as "The God of High School." This event, backed by a mysterious corporation, gathers competitors from high schools across the nation to select three representatives for the World Tournament. The victor will have any wish they desire fulfilled by the corporation. Utilizing their Borrowed Powers, these martial artists will forge friendships and rivalries as they battle their way toward the ultimate championship.
