Ame to Kimi to
On a rainy day, Fuji, a reclusive female novelist living alone, discovers an animal that resembles a tanuki abandoned in a cardboard box. She brings home the self-proclaimed dog, who communicates through a sketchbook, stating that it is just a dog and easy to care for. Fuji names it "Kimi (You)," and they start living together. While acquaintances sometimes question Kimi's true nature, Fuji always introduces it as a mixed-breed dog, and Kimi consistently affirms through writing that it is indeed a dog. Their daily life unfolds, filled with the poetic and leisurely moments shared between the quiet, sensitive Fuji and the cleverly expressive Kimi.
