The Darwin Incident

Fifteen years ago, a pregnant chimpanzee used in experiments was taken by the radical group "ALA" (Animal Liberation Alliance), known for their terrorist activities advocating for animal rights. At an animal hospital, she gave birth to Charlie, a rare human-chimpanzee hybrid created through genetic engineering, referred to as a "humanzee."
Charlie was raised by a chimpanzee researcher named Gilbert and his wife Hannah, developing physical and mental abilities that surpass those of typical humans. As he starts high school, Charlie encounters prejudice but also meets a shy girl named Lucy Eldred. Meanwhile, extremist animal rights groups and influential institutions are discussing Charlie's existence and his potential role in society.
