Journal with Witch
Ikoku Nikki
In the winter of her third year of junior high, Asa Takumi tragically lost both her parents in a sudden car accident. At their funeral, some relatives made hurtful comments, suggesting that she wasn't their biological child and implying she would be passed around. In response to this, her aunt, Makio Takashiro, chose to take Asa in.
Asa started living with Makio, a reclusive young novelist, in her apartment. Makio, who was shy and awkward, felt overwhelmed by the unexpected decision to take Asa in. Despite finding Makio a bit strange—caught between being an adult and a child—Asa gradually adjusted to her new life. Following Makio's advice, Asa began keeping a journal to document her daily experiences.
