Hayato Kirishima had a childhood friend he grew up playing with, but had to move to the city due to family circumstances, leaving behind the promise that they'll be friends forever. Seven years later, Hayato is now a high school student, and still wished that he could see his old friend once again. In class, he finds himself sitting next to a girl named Haruki Nikaido, who is not only beautiful and academically gifted but also excels in sports and captures everyone's attention. However, she seems to be acting strangely towards him for some reason. During lunch break, while searching for a spot to eat, he runs into Haruki again, and she surprises him by revealing that she is actually his childhood friend from all those years ago.
